I have an existing toll-free number with my previous LD provider, which was free plus the usage (so I figured "why not"?)...
Any chance VOIPo would offer this to its VOIP customers (not standalone) for the same price -- number is free, just pay per minute for usage ???

Depends on the hosting plan. If you don't have a qualifying hosting plan with HG, the tollfree numbers are pretty inexpensive--$3/mo (purchased one year at a time) that includes 100 mins isn't bad. Of course, if you don't use those 100 mins, it ends up more expensive than 'free plus usage' at a higher per-min price...
Exactly -- I mean, they don't get hardly any usage (except when somebody transposed a number on a list at a callcenter, and I got calls for "WellCare")...
