My mother passed away and I would like to keep the family number and forward it to my VOIPo phone. Is there a difference between Virtual numbers and Cloud numbers? The price looks to be the same....
For anyone that is interested I have my Ubiquity UniFi Talk phone working with VOIPo. Incoming and outgoing calls work great. This forum won't let me post anything beyond plain text. You can read how...
I wrote a fairly long reply but received a notice that it won't be posted until a moderator approves it. Not sure if there are any moderators here?
Thank you for your reply tritch. I already found the article and Youtube video you linked. I used them both in figuring out how to get outgoing calls working.
I added the IP address you...
I received my phone and got outgoing calls working after just a few tries. I am unable to receive incoming calls. Unifi Talk uses their version of Freeswitch for software.
Using my sip credentials...
Well I went ahead and ordered the UniFi Talk Phone Touch Max. It arrives in a couple days. If anyone has any hints/suggestions as to setting it up with VOIPo I'd appreciate any help. If/when I get it...
I am setting up Ubiquiti Network and Protect hardware in my home. They also offer a VOIP phone system that integrates into the network that I would like to try.
Of course they want you to sign up...
Good idea. I just routed 1000 and 1001 numbers to disconnected. Will wait and see if it works.
It happened again tonight after my wife went to bed. Is there a way to stop this? Caller ID now says 1001 like everyone else.
So far it's just been the one time for me. It was frustrating because I couldn't make it stop except by unplugging the phone and I was expecting a call. My ATA is in a DMZ because it was easier than...
I just started getting calls on line 2. Caller ID says 1000 for both name and number. The calls were coming non-stop until I received a real call on line 1. Does anyone know what is causing this and...
I received an unhappy email from a new VOIPo customer who received an ATA with only phone jack. I took a look at the VOIPo website and the Cloned 2nd Line feature seems to have been quietly removed....
I too visit that site daily. I hope they get their new hardware before the weekend.
It's automatic. Here is part of my welcome letter from VOIPo which I received within seconds of signing up:
Hello from VOIPo!
While we await your number transfer documents (see below), we...
For $3 a month you can add a FAX cloud number for incoming FAX to email. Does that answer your question?
International calls cost extra. That is all I can think of.
On a similar note. My buddy had an AT&T home phone, office phone and DSL. He called AT&T to cancel his office line but keep his home line and DSL. Of course when his office line went dead so did his...
These days it seems like everyone wants to send me txt messages. I give out my VOIPo number but people can't text to it so I still have to give out my cell or Google Voice numbers.
It would be...
My understanding of FAX over VOIP is that it is really hit-or-miss. Some people have it working while others can't. I tried using my old Faxmodem on my VOIPo line and couldn't get it to work. I tried...
Are you sure you were logged in? I'm not asked for an image verification.
As the topic says, how do you pronounce VOIPo? Do you spell it out: vee-oh-eye-pee-oh? Do you say it as a word: voyp-oh?
Does the "o" on the end have a meaning?
I have my ATA behind my Netgear WNDR3700 router. I gave the ATA a reserved IP and set it up as a DMZ. By putting the ATA in a DMZ I avoided having to forward a huge number of ports.
@Steve: I like that test. I posted a link to it on my web page. Does anyone have any input as to how accurate these tests are in regards to VOIP service?
@eejake52: While tests are helpful...
I'd like to know too. I couldn't find a way to do it.
