Well, here is my System page, in Advanced mode:
I guess the difference is I am logged in as User. So, does this mean you have to be in Admin mode to set up static ip?
I am BYOD. I have configured my DNS servers to be the DNS servers that voipwelcome.com uses (hostgator: 67.18.54.31, 67.18.54.32). That way, if Voipo makes a change (say where sip.voipwelcome.com points to or another server), I get the updates as soon as they hit that domain's DNS server (instead of me having to wait for the TTL to expire on where ever the domain is cached along the way since it could take 24-48 hours depending for my ISP's DNS servers to update these entries). I asked Voipo if they cared what DNS servers we used and they said they did not. I can only recommend using their DNS servers; otherwise, you should use your ISP or OpenDNS (or your router if it's running a caching DNS server).
The PAP2T has a voice menu system built in through which you can set a static IP. You can get the user manual at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/...PAP2T/download. Instructions start on page 8.
Basically, pressing '****' puts you into the menu system. From there you enter a numeric code for the option you want (see below). Finish your entries with the '#' key. Use a single '*' for the period in IP addresses.
'101#' change DHCP
'111#' set static IP
'121#' set subnet
'131#' set gateway
Please see the user manual for more detailed instructions.
Ralph
I hear "Invalid option" when I try to enter 111#
