Default How to access to RT31P2?

    Hi folks,

    Got a question:
I got the Linksys RT31P2. My Setup:
Yahoo DSL Modem -> Linksys WRT54GS Router -> Linksys RT31P2

How do I access to it?

    Thanks.

Go to the dhcp users list of your Linksys router and find it there...

    192.168.15.1 should be the RT31P2

    Hi chpalmer,

That is my problem. I tried that one already. Actually I can see a dynamic ip address 192.168.1.102 from DHCP client table. I have other 6 PCs and printer server. They all are static ip addresses. The only DHCP one is the phone adapter. I tried to access http://192.168.1.102. It didn't bring up anything.

Have no ideas what is going one.

    Thanks for the info.

That's the LAN side address. If you plug a computer into the LAN side you should be able to access it at that address. Since the poster is going via the WAN "remote administration: needs to be enabled. Try port 9999 at that DHCP assigned address you mention (http://192.168.1.102:9999).

Forgot to mention the lan thing

Mine is port 8080 instead of 9999... on the WAN side.

    Hi Russell,

Right now, both of the Remote Upgrade and Remote and Administration are Enable. I'd like to disable them. Is it OK?

Can I change the default password to something else?

    Thanks.

If you disable them, support won't be able to assist with troubleshooting since we won't have remote access. We recommend keeping them enabled.

If you disable them- you wont be able to access it via the wan port either.

Since your behind a router no one else can get to it anyway. Dont worry.
