I sure hope this is the answer, I really could care less what firmware I use on my router as long as it's stable and it has DDNS. I disabled SPI and forwarded the familiar VOIPo Ports.
I mentioned that I have the GU as well as the GC and DD-WRT installed easily on both boxes.
I use Open DNS and that seems to run smoothly. I use ATT DSL and a dry loop as well.

Be sure that NAT keep alive is enabled in your ATA. I also discovered that I seem to run more smoothly when STUN is turned off. If you don't have access to your ATA, call support and they will gladly do these settings for you to try.
