    Default Voipo & Acrobits App

    All,

Does anyone know if Acrobits is compatible with Voipo. I found this thread that shows that it may be "by chance".

    http://forums.voipo.com/showthread.p...light=acrobits

If so, can someone tell me what I should put in the setting fields for Acrobits to make it work?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Alan

Yes, Acrobits works great. As I recall, I just used the generic profile and put in my BYOD credentials.

Noob questions: Do I use my voipo vpanel login information for the username, password, domain? What info do I need to take from my gear?

Get the info on vPanel here: https://secure.voipo.com/preferences/softphone

Sorry I wasn't more specific. Follow usa2k's advice, and if that doesn't work, I'll post my full configuration. However, I believe I just needed to insert the information on the BYOD tab: username, sip password, and domain.

Also, remember that you will get different results depending on the wifi network you are using. You won't have the opportunity to forward ports and make other adjustments if you are sitting at your local Starbucks. It might be best to start by using the 3G network just to eliminate the quirks of whatever wifi network you happen to be on.

And then, I used that information to update the Acrobits settings on this screen:

I saved the changes, and I was able to make an outgoing call!

Now, I just need to understand what it means to *receive* incoming calls on my iPhone (actually, iPod Touch) when I also have my ATA setup at home that's supposed to receive the calls. I will play with it once I get home, but if anyone can clarify the expected behavior, that would be great.

    Cheers,
    -Alan

I believe that the behavior is both will ring (if you have acrobits running at the time) and the first to answer gets the call.
