Basic question.. Did you restart the ATA? I assume you did. Maybe try to turn off the DHCP server just in case. I don't have a HT 502 to check with.

Thanks for the reply-----indeed, I rebooted the HT-502, and I think I disabled the DHCP server, but I'll need to confirm that when I get home tonight.

I don't think the LAN port will pull an IP from your router since your ATA is behind the router. One router port cannot have two addresses attached to it. You may try enabling DHCP in the ATA, and let the ATA give it an address, that's the only way I see it possibly working.
