Receiving Many Fax Calls

It may be possible that someone has a fax number that's close to the same digits as yours, maybe only 2 digits different, and that person has printed literature or internet ads, with the wrong number posted in the ads that just happens to match yours.

That is possible I guess. Do FAXs need to abide by the DNC list?

Do ANY numbers respect the DNC list? I haven't found the DNC to be at all effective.

It seems FAX calls are allowed to DNC numbers.

Is it possible my number got on some kind of list in retaliation since all unwanted calls I receive get sent to the "Disconnect" feature.

Are the numbers all from the same area code/prefix? (904) 623-xxxx ? or even 904-62x-xxx? Set up a block and send the calls to the disconnected, busy, or forward the calls to the Federal Trade Commission's fax line.
