    Default DTMF mode?

When I first set my asterisk system up with voipo months ago, I couldn't get dtmf inbound working right, until I changed the default rfc2833 to inband. I'm now using residential, and a lot of water has passed under the bridge. Do I still need to use inband DTMF? It isn't an issue right now, since with the (hopefully temporary) demise of carrier, I had to punt my voicemail virtual number and go with one for another provider, and rfc2833 is working fine with them. Just curious...

(actually after posting this, I went back and looked at my config, and I see the problem was not inbound dtmf, but outbound. e.g. I would call IVRs at banks and such and could not get my keypresses recognized, so I switched the voipo trunk to inband. Same question still pertains though - I guess I could wait until I get home, change to rfc2833 and try again, but since the post is out there, I'm curious what Tim [or Norm?] have to say...)

Oh cool. I missed this, I think, because the subject line faked me out

Thanks for the link. I changed the voipo trunk to rfc2833 and all is good.
