What is the difference between "Contact number" and "Phone number" in the Call Route Type selection list?

Contact number is a number already setup as a "Contact" in the Contacts area where Phone Number is just a freeform phone number that you type in.

Basically yeah. It lets you select a contact number without having to re-type it.
