I had the same issue so instead of having it sent as an sms to my Verizon cell which would be:
5162349901 in the SMS field - I instead used the email address the phone has (every provider has one):
In the email field I put:
5162349901@vtext.com
Now I receive them every time within a few seconds.
Try that.
That makes sense but some of the wireless carriers only require that you enter the digits alone when doing anything SMS.
Additionally, the e-mail field in Voice mail is currently "Locked" in that if I try to change the entry I have in there now, it gives me a blank page upon "set settings" ans reverts back to my previous entry.
