Grandstream HT502 Installation Guide

Connecting Your VOIPo Adapter (Grandstream HT502)

To begin using your new VOIPo service, simply connect the VOIPo adapter to your internet connection.

1)  Phone - Plug your telephone into Phone Port 1 of the adapter (do not use in-home telephone wiring/POTS).

2)  Internet - Plug the provided ethernet cable into the WAN port of the adapter.  Plug the other end of the

ethernet cable into your modem.

3)  Computer - Plug the ethernet cable going to your computer or router (if you have one) into one of the

LAN port of the adapter.

4)  Power - Plug the AC power adapter into the VOIPo adapter and plug it into an electrical outlet.  Reboot your modem, then the adapter, and then your router or computer.

**NOTE: if connecting behind your wireless router only the WAN port of the Grandstream will be used.

Congratulations – Within 3-5 minutes, you should be able to make and receive calls.

Do NOT reboot or unplug the device for at least 5 minutes.

It may take a few minutes to activate and update itself.
